hoạt động du lịch có tiềm năng nhưng hiệu quả khai thác còn rất thấp. nguyên nhân chính có lẽ là do chúng ta chưa có chiến lược phát triển cụ thể, vì vậy việc định hướng cũng như công tác quản lý loại hình du lịch này còn gặp nhiều khó khăn. mặt khác, chủ yếu loại hình này xuất phát từ tính tự phát của chủ hộ nên có một số vấn đề xảy ra như: việc phục vụ còn đơn giản, dịch vụ bổ sung cho khách còn chưa nhiều, đội ngũ lao động chưa được đào tạo qua trường lớp, yếu về trình độ ngoại ngữ và một vấn đề luôn được khách du lịch quan tâm nhiều nhất đó là vệ sinh môi trường và an toàn thực phẩm, hơn thế nữa, việc tạo chỗ ở rất khó khăn khi có đoàn khách đông.
