In 1887, a new factory was built just outside the old city. Until 1988, the plant was decommissioned and from there became the Heineken Experience, one of the great tourist attraction in the Netherlands. In 1975, the new plant at Zoeterwoude, the Netherlands goes into operation. This is a large beer factory and the most modern in Europe at the time.
