Trong bối cảnh cộng đồng Kinh tế ASEAN (AEC) ra đời cuối năm 2015, đồng nghĩa với việc hình thành một thị trường lao động mở cùng 14 triệu việc làm cho công dân toàn khu vực, MIC sẽ đối mặt với nguy cơ người giỏi ra đi tìm cơ hội việc làm mới. Việc xác định các vị trí chủ chốt, có rủi ro mất người cao và xây dựng nguyên lý trả lương cho các vị trí này giúp MIC có cơ sở đầu tiên cho chiến lược giữ chân nhân tài của mình.
