 Toàn bộ hệ thống văn bản, tài liệu của PetroVietnam phải chân thực và truyền đạt chính xác thông tin khi được ban hành. Hệ thống tài liệu ban hành phải phù hợp với những chính sách hiện tại của PetroVietnam và quy định của pháp luật. Mỗi cán bộ nhân viên cần có trách nhiệm với những hệ thống tài liệu khi sử dụng theo quy định trong Tập đoàn
 Các hồ sơ nghiệp vụ phải được lưu và tuân thủ các quy trình nghiệp vụ hiện hành của PetroVietnam, các hồ sơ lưu phải mang tính thực tế khách quan, và được thẩm định chặt chẽ bảo đảm phản ánh đúng hoạt động của bộ phận mình phụ trách
 Tuyệt đối không sao chụp, copy và gửi các hồ sơ, tài liệu nội bộ của PetroVietnam ra bên ngoài dưới bất kỳ hình thức nào khi chưa được sự cho phép của các cấp có thẩm quyền.
