- Trên cơ sở cổ phần hóa Chi nhánh Công ty XNK Intimex tại TPHCM thành lập vào năm 1995 trực thuộc Công ty XNK Intimex (Bộ Công Thương), Công ty Cổ phần XNK Intimex tại TPHCM đã chính thức đi vào hoạt động từ ngày 01/07/2006. Năm 2011, đổi tên thành Công ty Cổ phần Tập đoàn Intimex (Intimex Group).
- Khởi điểm ban đầu là một công ty và ba chi nhánh nhỏ, bao gồm 91 nhân sự, vốn điều lệ 14,4 tỷ đồng, cơ sở vật chất còn nhiều hạn chế, nhưng trải qua 10 năm cổ phần hóa, những nỗ lực không ngừng theo phương châm “Uy tín là hàng đầu” đã đưa Intimex trở thành một Tập đoàn lớn mạnh, là một trong những thương hiệu hàng đầu tại Việt Nam ở các lĩnh vực: chế biến, xuất khẩu nông sản (cà phê, hồ tiêu, gạo, hạt điều…); nhập khẩu thực phẩm đông lạnh, sắt thép; kinh doanh siêu thị và sản xuất, kinh doanh vật liệu xây dựng…
- Đến nay, Tập đoàn Intimex đã có:
• Trên 800 lao động,
• Vốn điều lệ là 223 tỷ đồng, kim ngạch xuất nhập khẩu đạt gần 1 tỷ USD/năm và doanh thu hàng năm đạt trên 30 nghìn tỷ đồng.
• Mạng lưới hoạt động “đa ngành, đa nghề, đa quốc gia” của Intimex trải dài từ Bắc đến Nam với 6 chi nhánh và 14 đơn vị thành viên mà Tập đoàn nắm giữ cổ phần chi phối, trong đó có 1 đơn vị thành viên được thành lập tại nước ngoài.
• Sở hữu 9 nhà máy chế biến cà phê xuất khẩu chất lượng cao nằm ở các vùng trọng điểm sản xuất cà phê của Tây Nguyên, và các khu vực có vị trí thuận lợi cho xuất khẩu nông sản của Việt Nam với tổng công suất đạt 480.000 tấn/năm.
• 1 nhà máy chế biến tiêu sạch xuất khẩu tại Bình Dương công suất 5.000 tấn/năm;
• 1 nhà máy chế biến gạo tại Đồng Tháp với công suất 150.000 tấn/năm.
• 3 phân xưởng chế biến điều xuất khẩu ở Tây Ninh và Bình Dương;
• 5 Trung tâm Thương mại tại Buôn Ma Thuột, Đắk Mil, Tây Ninh, Đà Nẵng, Hải Phòng;
• 1 nhà máy sản xuất bê tông công suất 1,3 triệu m3/năm và 1 mỏ khai thác đá tại Đà Nẵng công suất 180.000 m3/năm
• 1 nhà máy sản xuất gạch tuynel tại Lâm Đồng công suất 30 triệu viên/năm.
