The retail market in Chile are growing because of high consumer spending power, developing infrastructure and business friendly legal environment-and the population of the town grew. Nearly 88% of residents live in urban areas, with 40% of the metropolitan area of Santiago. In 2009, about 44% of supermarket sales in the metropolitan area. By 2015, more than 90% of the population living in the municipality should lead to strong growth across all retail sectors by 2015, include food and beverages, grocery retail, pharmacy (over-the-counter) and automobile sales.
