Vào buổi sáng sớm ngày đầu tiên của lễ Chuseok, toàn bộ gia đình sẽ tụ họp tại gian nhà chính, nơi bày bàn thờ tổ tiên để tiến hành các nghi lễ tưởng niệm. Vào ngày Chuseok món ăn chủ đạo được dùng để cúng bái là Mebap (cơm gạo mới vừa thu hoạch)
