Có thể khẳng định rằng việc thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao chính thức giữa Việt Nam và Hàn Quốc là một quyết định lịch sử phù hợp với lợi ích của hai nước, đưa quan hệ giữa hai nước bước sang một giai đoạn mới, hướng tới tương lai, hợp tác cùng phát triển. Trong 20 năm qua, quan hệ giữa hai nước đã phát triển với tốc độ nhanh hiếm thấy trên hầu hết các lĩnh vực, đặc biệt là về chính trị và kinh tế. Hàn Quốc đã trở thành một trong những đối tác chiến lược quan trọng của Việt Nam và Việt Nam cũng đã trở thành đối tác chiến lược hàng đầu của Hàn Quốc ở Đông Nam Á.

Can assert that the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea is a historical decision consistent with the interests of the two countries, relations between the two countries to a new stage, towards the future, cooperation and development. In the past 20 years, the relations between the two countries has grown at a rapid pace rarely seen on most of the sectors, especially about politics and economics. South Korea has become one of the strategically important partner of Vietnam and Vietnam also became strategic partners of South Korea in Southeast Asia.

It can be affirmed that the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea is a historic decision in line with the interests of the two countries, given the relationship between the two countries entered a new phase, towards future cooperation for development.
