This artfully moving story has created a strong mixture of feelings for readers including anger, regretful and incomprehensible. Certainly, the substantial element which made this story became Angels for meaningful is the way the author chose to write it. This story basically pictures a tragedy in which a couple had to break up because the girl is a non-Jewish woman. Flores used many key criteria to strongly describe any infinitesimal sense of racism which the Yiddish girl-the author-experienced such as the color of her skin, her race, even her language. She repeatedly used Spanish terms instead of translating them into English, she certainly intent to implicitly pictures a deep boundary as the horizon in the white land community. A certain secession in the society with only one criterion! The race is another criteria which directly related to the main story. Flores continued using the Spanish term "Shiksa" which came out from Gary's grandma shout-her Jewish boyfriend-to fundamentally the situation escalate to another level. Gary's grandma first impression to Flores has spoken everything about the conflict among cultures and religions. The author ended her story by skillfully divide using the metaphor which compared her love for Gary and the new gold Cadillac. A bit of her monolog generally pictured how desperate she was, how the racism has destroyed various values of the people which should have been equalized at the very beginning.
