Và họ thường lên các trang mạng để tìm hiểu các nhận xét và chia sẻ của mọi người đã đi du lịch ở nơi đó, các nhận xét đó rất rõ ràng về giá đi xe thồ là bao nhiêu, chỗ nào rẻ, ở đâu có cướp,… đặc biệt là du khách của nước Pháp, Mỹ, Úc, họ tìm hiểu thông tin rất kĩ. Trong quá trình đi tham quan những người khách này luôn đem theo sách hướng dẫn bên mình để tiện theo dõi. Và đôi khi những du khách này còn biết nhiều thông tin hơn là các hướng dẫn viên mới vào nghề. Từ những vấn đề trên nếu hướng dẫn viên không trang bị đầy đủ kiến thức cho mình thì họ sẽ bối rối, mất tự tin với khách. các hướng dẫn viên không cần có quá nhiều kiến thức nhưng họ phải chuẩn bị kiến thức thật chính xác và tốt để không bị du khách xem thường và họ sẽ mất niềm tin ở người hướng dẫn viên
