Massage is therapy by exposure aka tactile exposure therapy. For children, infant massage is not only relaxing but also help to increase better balance, energy consumption, less sleep disturbance, decreased salivation phenomenon and increase the length of the body.
Each time massage for about 15 minutes, should be done 2-3 times a day. Parents should choose a cool room, placed the baby on the table with linen, table with solid surfaces. Massage oil needed to not hurt your baby's skin.
Massage helps to relax the facial muscles with 2 movements. Use two thumbs forehead swipe from side to side then clawed foot lateral eyebrow. Smile action is done by using two thumbs stroking the top edge in the direction from the inside out, then do the same movement in the chin.
