Phát biểu khai trương “Góc Việt Nam” tại Thư viện quốc gia, Giám đốc điều hành thư viện Tiến sĩ Arun Kumar Chakraborty đánh giá cao sự hỗ trợ của Đại sứ quán Việt Nam và Ủy ban đoàn kết Ấn Độ - Việt Nam bang Tây Bengal trong việc xây dựng “Góc sách Việt Nam” tại đây. Ông cho rằng, sự kiện này sẽ góp phần quan trọng trong việc thúc đẩy quan hệ hợp tác giữa hai nước, nhất là trong lĩnh vực văn hóa, giáo dục và giao lưu nhân dân.
Đánh giá cao về sự kiện khai trương các “Góc sách Việt Nam”, Chủ tịch Ủy ban đoàn kết Ấn Độ - Việt Nam bang Tây Bengal Geetesh Sharma nhấn mạnh quan hệ Ấn – Việt có mối liên hệ truyền thống lịch sử, văn hóa từ lâu đời, được xây dựng và dày công vun đắp của các thế hệ lãnh đạo cấp cao và nhân dân hai nước.
Ông cũng nhấn mạnh sự cần thiết phải thúc đẩy mạnh mẽ hơn nữa quan hệ hợp tác giữa hai nước, bao gồm lĩnh vực hợp tác văn hóa – giáo dục và nhất là hợp tác với thành phố Kolkata, bang Tây Bengal – nơi vốn được biết đến như thủ đô văn hóa của Ấn Độ.
