4. Bảo mật và công khai thông tin
 PetroVietnam có mối quan hệ rộng rãi với các cơ quan chính quyền, các đối tác (trong và ngoài nước) và khách hàng. Do đó mỗi cán bộ nhân viên đều có thể nắm được những thông tin nhạy cảm về khách hàng đối tác, hay của nội bộ Tập đoàn. Sự rò rỉ những tài liệu bí mật có thể gây nguy hại tới những quá trình và huỷ hoại những mục tiêu phát triển của PetroVietnam. Ý thức bảo mật thông tin là điều then chốt và cần luôn được tâm niệm bởi mỗi cán bộ nhân viên điều này tạo nên sự tin cậy cho khách hàng. Mỗi cán bộ nhân viên sẽ không tự ý cung cấp thông tin khi nhận được yêu cầu từ bên ngoài PetroVietnam trừ khi đó là những yêu cầu thông tin từ những chủ thể thông tin hợp lệ. Trong trường hợp các cơ quan có thẩm quyền yêu cầu thông tin cần phải báo cáo lập tức tới cán bộ quản lý và người có thẩm quyền để xem xét quyết định.
 Bên cạnh việc phải bảo mật những thông tin nhạy cảm để bảo vệ quyền của khách hàng, đối tác và Tập đoàn, PetroVietnam cam kết trở thành một tổ chức mở với các phương tiện thông tin đại chúng.
 Thông tin bí mật - hoặc là về PetroVietnam - hoặc là về một khách hàng công ty, cá nhân hay những đối tác khác mà chúng ta có quan hệ - sẽ không được sử dụng cho mục đích cá nhân, gia đình hoặc những lợi ích khác. Nếu nắm được những thông tin này mặc dù không công khai nhưng có thể tác động đến một bên nào đó trong giao dịch của PetroVietnam, chúng ta không được tích trữ hoặc sử dụng vì mục đích thương mại đối với chúng.

4. Security and public information  PetroVietnam has extensive relationships with government agencies, the partners (foreign and domestic) and the customer. Therefore each staffs all can grasp the sensitive information about customers, partners or internal's corporations. The leak of the secret document can cause hazard to the process and jeopardize the PetroVietnam's development goals. Information security awareness is key and should always be sought by each staff this creates confidence for clients. Each staff will not voluntarily provide the information when receiving requests from the outside unless PetroVietnam that is the requested information from the subject valid information. In case the competent agency information requirements need to be reported immediately to the management and staff who have the authority to review the decision.  Besides to the security-sensitive information to protect the rights of customers, partners and corporations, PetroVietnam is committed to becoming an organisation open to the news media.  confidential information – either on-or about a PetroVietnam corporate, personal or other partners with which we have relationships-will not be used for personal, family or other benefits. If taking this information though not openly but can impact a party somewhere in the transaction of PetroVietnam, let's not be stored or used for commercial purposes for them.

4. Privacy and Information Disclosure
 PetroVietnam has extensive relationships with government agencies, partners (local and foreign) and Customer. Therefore every staff are able to discuss the sensitive information on counterparties, or by internal Group. The leak of secret documents could pose a danger to the process and destroying the development goals of PetroVietnam. Information Security Awareness is critical, and should always be in mind by every staff this creates confidence for customers. Each staff will not voluntarily provide the information upon receiving a request from the outside unless it's PetroVietnam requests information from valid information owners. In case the competent authorities to request information should be reported immediately to management staff and competent persons to review decision.
 Besides security to sensitive information to protect the rights of customers, partners and the Group, PetroVietnam committed to becoming an organization open to the mass media.
 confidential information - either about Petro - or is about a company's customers, fish personnel or other partners that we have relations - will not be used for personal purposes, family or other benefits. If you understand this information, although not publicly, but can affect any party in the transaction by Petrovietnam, we can not be stored or used for commercial purposes for them.
